The Reclaimer makes a portable structure that has adopted the name of PLOGS™.
What is a PLOG? What has been referred to in earlier times as either prefab housing to the common backyard shed is now being built
into versatile addition living spaces.
People that once had to add on to their homes for more space are now redefining portable structures. These structures run the gamut
from showy guest houses with bathrooms and kitchens and all the finish work of a fancy house to scaled down yoga studios to offices to
tea houses.
At the Reclaimer we make a version of the transformed backyard space we call PLOGS - PORTABLE LIVING/OFFICE GREEN
STRUCTURES. Our PLOGS are unique in that they are made with 99% reclaimed materials. The primary component being reclaimed old
growth lumber but every other component is ecologically sound from no or low VOC paints and stains to recycled roofing materials.
We recognize that while being ecologically sound is important, just as important is quality workmanship and good looks. The PLOGS
deliver on all fronts, through a heritage of solid workmanship we offer an extensive selection of PLOGS to meet a variety of styles from
contemporary to rustic timber frame.
Our PLOGS are all custom-built, ranging in size from 8’x8’ to 16’x16’. We build them primarily from our inventory of Reclaimed Old-
Growth Douglas Fir but they are also offered in different grades of Redwood. The buyer can choose from a variety of grades and styles
of reclaimed lumber utilized in the flooring, siding, walls and other exposed areas from tight vertical grain flooring to rough faced exterior
siding. In addition, all the amenities that one might want can be included such as skylights, dual paned windows, plumbing, electrical,
choice of hardware, etc.
